Tips for Faster Support
Be Specific
Include details like error messages, browser/device info, and steps to reproduce the issue.
Include Your Account Email
If you have an account, include the email address you used to sign up so we can look up your details.
Check Spam Folder
Our replies might end up in spam. Add support@builtbysharan.com to your contacts to prevent this.
One Issue Per Email
If you have multiple unrelated questions, send separate emails. This helps us track and resolve each issue.
What to Expect
Solo Founder
TeleportLink is built and maintained by Sharan Iyengar, a solo founder. That means no 24/7 support team, but you get direct access to the person who built the service.
No Phone/Chat
Email-only support keeps costs low and allows for thoughtful, detailed responses. No phone support, no live chat—just good old-fashioned email.
Honest Communication
If there's a bug, I'll admit it. If something can't be done, I'll explain why. No corporate speak, no run-around—just clear, direct answers.
Response Priority
Paid users get priority (Plus/Ultimate), but everyone gets a response. Critical bugs and security issues are addressed immediately regardless of plan.
What We Can't Help With
Lost Links or Keys
TeleportLink uses zero-knowledge encryption. If you lose a link, the file is unrecoverable—we don't have the decryption key. This is by design, not a bug.
Expired Transfers
Once a transfer expires or is consumed, it's permanently deleted. We cannot restore deleted files—this is a core feature of ephemeral file sharing.
Third-Party Integration Help
For issues with Google OAuth or Razorpay, contact them directly. We can help with TeleportLink-specific problems only.
